Investigators said bank robberies in Connecticut and Westerly may be connected, and the suspect is a woman.
Police said surveillance cameras recorded Heather Brown, 34, of Norwich, robbing a bank in Middletown, Conn.
Police said she handed the teller a note asking for money and that she had a bomb. She fled in a blue van, driven by a male accomplice.
Detectives said Brown could be responsible for bank robberies in Montville and at a Washington Trust branch in Westerly on Tuesday.
Westerly police said they have an arrest warrant for Brown charging her with second-degree robbery.
