Woman injured in Fairhaven crash

FAIRHAVEN, Mass.—A 61-year-old woman was hospitalized Thursday afternoon after police said the car she was driving left the road on Route 195 West in Fairhaven.
Police said the accident happened at about 5:35 p.m.
Rescue crews used the Jaws of Life to extricate the woman from the car.
The woman was taken by helicopter to a Boston hospital. Her condition was unknown.
Traffic on Route 195 was tied up for over an hour while the helicopter landed on the highway’s eastbound lane.
