LEDYARD, Conn.—Connecticut state troopers said they arrested a Georgia woman after she tried to get a 13-year-old female relative to leave Ledyard High School with her.

Geraldine Sebastian, 51, of Atlanta was charged Thursday morning with risk of injury to a minor, trespassing and breach of peace. She was to be arraigned in New London Superior Court later in the day.

Troopers said Sebastian went into the school unannounced, found the girl in a hallway and tried to get the teen to leave with her. Police said when the girl resisted, Sebastian attempted to grab her but school staff and another student intervened. No one was injured.

Sebastian could not be reached Thursday. A message was left at a phone listing in her name in Atlanta. It wasn’t clear if she had a lawyer.
