NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH, Mass.—A North Attleborough woman pleaded not guilty to driving drunk with her two young daughters in the car.
Meredith Terry pleaded not guilty on Monday to charges that include child endangerment while driving intoxicated, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving to endanger and marked lanes violation.
Police said Terry, 37, rear-ended another vehicle on Route 1 on Sunday afternoon. Authorities said she failed field sobriety tests and registered 0.28 on two alcohol breath tests - more than three times the legal limit.
The Sun Chronicle of Attleboro reported that Terry told police she was “buzzed, but not drunk.“
Police said Terry’s two daughters were buckled into safety seats in the back seat when they first spoke to her at the scene.
