NEW LONDON, Conn.—A new arrest warrant says a Connecticut woman accused of robbing six banks in three states last month had returned to using cocaine and marijuana and was unemployed before the crimes.
Heather Brown, 34, was charged with violating probation Tuesday in New London Superior Court. She had been released from prison in May after serving two years for robbing a bank in Groton.
Authorities said Brown robbed six banks in six days in Connecticut in Montville, Windsor, Middletown and East Hartford, and in West Springfield, Mass., and Westerly, R.I.
The probation violation warrant said Brown told her probation officer before the robberies that she had relapsed in her drug use and was no longer employed.
Brown’s lawyer denies she violated her probation.
