Voters to decide on full-day kindergarten

DARTMOUTH, Mass.—Full-day kindergarten could come to Dartmouth next school year, if the town meeting voters approve it this week.
The Standard Times reports voters will also consider the transfer of $57,000 surplus budget dollars to give parents a 50 percent discount on sports pay-to-play fees at the high school. The town meeting is Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

It really isn’t that simple. A kindergarten teacher already teaches for the full day, but with two classes. One morning and one afternoon. If it is full time (all day), then you need twice the amount of teachers.
i’m all for education , but if they can afford to pay teachers for a full day instead of half. why cant they pay the bill for sports . i’m sure its less than full day salaries
