PROVIDENCE - Volunteers including Lt. Gov. Elizabeth Roberts assembled holiday care packages for Rhode Island troops stationed overseas.
They’re gathered Saturday morning at the North Main Street Armory in Providence as part of Operation Holiday Cheer.
The program sends care packages including snacks, DVDs and other treats to all troops from Rhode Island.
