Video pick: Sea lion hijacks fire boat

Our video pick for Wednesday comes from Newport Beach, Calif., where a sea lion tried to take a fire boat for a joy ride.

Officials were notified that the animal was hanging around a dock in Newport Beach.

After several failed attempts to get the sea lion in the water, officials took the animal aboard their fire boat.

That turned out not to be the best idea.

The sea lion commandeered the boat. He honked the horn and even put the boat in reverse.

It took more than an hour and a few squirts from a garden hose to get the animal to go back to sea.
