PROVIDENCE—Twin River slot parlor has ended Sunday simulcast race betting in another move to conserve cash before its sale.

The move follows Twin River’s decision this summer to end live greyhound racing. Twin River spokeswoman Patti Doyle said the gambling venue last offered Sunday simulcast betting on Sept. 20.

Twin River operator UTGR Inc. filed for bankruptcy in June, and has since moved to cut costs.

Rhode Island Lottery figures show Twin River’s revenues from video-lottery terminals fell nearly 50 percent from last year on the first Sunday without simulcast betting.

But Doyle said it was too soon to determine if the drop was related to the end of simulcasting. She said only 300 to 400 people bet on simulcast racing on Sundays out of 20,000 customers.
