WARWICK, R.I.—A 17-year-old skipped school and then robbed a bank in Warwick, police said.
Police said the teen, who was wearing a hooded sweatshirt, walked into the Coastway Bank on Warwick Avenue at about 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. Police said he handed a teller a note demanding money or that everyone would be shot.
Nobody in the bank saw a gun and police said they didn’t think the teen had a weapon.
Police said he left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
He was caught six hours later after police looked at forensic evidence from the note and the bank’s security camera.
“The sergeant that responded with detectives noticed the person in the video looked familiar to him. He checked with the school resource officer at one of our high schools and determined it was in fact a party known to him,“ said Capt. Sean Collins of the Warwick Police Department.
Because the suspect is a juvenile, police are not releasing his name. Police also didn’t release the name of the high school he goes to.
The teen is charged with first-degree robbery and is being held at the state training school.

I used to stay home from school and watch The Price Is Right. Sounds like he made more money doing it his way.
I do business with these people at Coastway and this really pisses me off. In today’s world, this punk gets spared the beating he so richly deserves.
