PROVIDENCE—Rhode Island public health officials have recommended swimming bans at six more beaches in the state because of high bacteria counts in the water.

The state Department of Health on Thursday recommended swimming bans at Camp Grosvenor and North Kingstown Town beaches in North Kingstown; City Park and Conimicut Point beaches in Warwick; and Peabody’s and Third beaches in Middletown.
