PROVIDENCE—A 32-year-old man who fled Rhode Island after allegedly wounding three people when he opened fire inside a strip club has been arrested in Atlanta.

Police spokeswoman Lindsay Richardson said Wednesday that Jonathan Quaweay was arrested after police received a tip he was hiding in the city.

Quaweay faces charges of assault with a dangerous weapon. He was recently featured on “America’s Most Wanted.“

An employee at the Sportsman’s Inn said he argued with Quaweay on March 24 before patrons forced Quaweay out the front door.

Quaweay allegedly returned a short time later and opened fire, shooting a bartender, a dancer and a customer. All survived.

It was not clear if Quaweay has a lawyer.

Quaweay is awaiting extradition to Rhode Island.
