WELLFLEET, Mass.—Four dolphins that became stranded on Cape Cod were released into the ocean Wednesday.

The one male and three female dolphins were rescued by members of the Cape Cod Stranding Network from Wellfleet Harbor and later released at Herring Cove in Provincetown.

Wellfleet Harbor Master Mike Flanagan also said a minke whale was coaxed back to deeper water after being seen swimming in Wellfleet Harbor.

Flanagan told The Cape Cod Times that the dolphins and the whale may have been attracted to the harbor by large amounts of krill.

A dolphin and a porpoise were also found dead Wednesday in Brewster, but no further details were available.
