SEATTLE—One of the Fort Lewis soldiers accused of a mugging students near the University of Washington was acquitted in Seattle of all charges.
A King County Superior Court jury acquitted 22-year-old Pfc. Raymond Russell Burrows II of Central Falls, on Sept. 18.
The seattlepi.com reported Burrows said he was the victim of misidentification and a rush to judgment by police and prosecutors. He spent seven months behind bars.
Two other Fort Lewis soldiers charged with robbery for two street holdups in January pleaded guilty and were sentenced to prison.
