SCITUATE, R.I.—Scituate’s Town Council will reopen and restaff the Chopmist Hill Fire Station on Friday.
The Providence Journal reported that the station will operate under former Chopmist Hill Fire Chief Raymond Blackmore.
Police are investigating allegations that Chopmist firefighters stole water from neighboring towns and sold it to the owners of local swimming pools.
The station was shut down last week and the fire equipment was removed.
