PROVIDENCE——What do you get when you cross St. Patrick’s Day with a completely shaved head?  St. BALDrick’s Day, of course.

On Sunday, firefighters from six local departments shaved heads for charity in Providence.

Some 35 people had their hair shaved off, to raise money for the Saint Baldrick’s Foundation.

They have raised $51,000,000 so far worldwide, to find a cure for childhood cancer.

Sunday’s fundraiser at McFadden’s raised over $10,000.

NBC10 producer Jim O’Connell was among those getting their head shaved!
The participating fire departments were, in alphabetical order, Barrington, East Providence, North Scituate, Portsmouth, Providence and Seekonk.
