CUMBERLAND—Nearly 270 homeless war veterans were served food, and given necessary services this weekend.

Operation Standown operated a tent city for the vets at Diamond Hill Park in Cumberland this weekend.

Group President Tony DeQuattro told NBC10 besides food, they gave haircuts, offered legal advice, and provided shelter this weekend.

DeQuattro said it was his group’s intent to restore “respect and dignity” to the homeless vets.
