Seekonk voters OK tax hike

SEEKONK, Mass.—Voters on Monday narrowly approved a temporary tax increase to help pay for the $750,000 renovation of the Banna Fire Station, the Attleboro Sun Chronicle reported.

The measure passed 455-421.

Only 882 or 9.3 percent of the town’s 9,479 eligible voters cast ballots at the high school.
