Voters to decide on temporary tax hike
Published: August 31, 2009
SEEKONK, Mass.—Voters in Seekonk head to the polls Monday to decide whether there will be a temporary tax increase in the town.
The money would fund a renovation of the Banna Fire Station. In May, $750,000 was approved for the repair of the building.
Seekonk’s town clerk told the Sun Chronicle she anticipates a low voter turnout.

It would have been good if channel 10 had bothered to provide the results of the election that was held on 8-31.
I was surprised and disapointed that channel 10 did not even cover the results of the election held in Seekonk on 8-31. I have searched your site for the election results concerning the Banner Fire Station renovations but have only found your 8-31 story titled ‘Voters to decide on temporary tax hike’.
