Police said a man who robbed a bank Wednesday in Raynham fits the description of two men who have robbed five banks in Fall River over the past five weeks.
Investigators said the man walked into a branch of Harbor One Bank at about 9:45 a.m. Wednesday and demanded money. He did not show a weapon and left on foot.
Police described the robber as a white man wearing a baseball cap, glasses and a thermal shirt. They released still pictures taken from a surveillance camera.
Police said they believe two men working together have robbed several other banks in Fall River, including robberies at St. Anne’s Credit Union at 2031 South Main St. on Monday, Notre Dame Credit Union at 659 Eastern Ave. on Sept. 4, Citizens Union Bank at 335 Stafford Road on Aug. 21, Bank Five at 1501 South Main St. on Aug. 20, and Citizens Union Bank at 81 Troy St. on Aug. 17.
Investigators asked anyone with information about the robbers or the robberies to call Fall River’s Major Crimes Division at 508-324-2796 or 1-508-672-TIPS. A cash reward is being offered for information that leads to the identities of the men.
