A group of people shared their rough experiences with the American health care system.
Whitehouse hopes to expand insurance to everyone and is working on several bills in congress, including one that would give the government more power to oversee a transition to a more modern health care system.

This “twit” is a doctor, and yes I’m a liberal, just like all the horrible people who brought us public education, civil rights, and voting rights for all citizens. It’s spelled Britain.
You sound like a real liberal whack job, i know exactly what i am talking about Taiwan has national health care ? what a load you would do better to look at Canada and Britten you know societies that more closely mirror our own !
In Canada it can take years to wait for a simple surgery !
The same thing in Britten !
They come to the United States for there surgery’s .
But people from the united States go to Canada to get there prescription filled Why you might ask ?
Because of government regulations and rules in the united states force citizens to pay more for prescriptions !
I do by the way have serious medical conditions and pay thousands out of pocket every year , but am able to take a tax write off after i pay a certain amount of my income in medical bills.
Yes people do go to the Emergency room for kicks because they “ claim “ to be in pain and want Drugs , the illegals are another great problem they work most pay little or no income taxes and stupid twits like you want to empty my bank account to feed house, cloth and pay there medical Bills !
No it’s not going to happen any more i have had it up to my eye balls and am not going to drown without a real Fight !
You want free health care for all people you pay for it just keep your hands out of my pocket !
Bob
Bob, people don’t go to the hospital for treatment for kicks. They usually go because they do not have access to primary care. Why? Because they don’t have insurance and it’s expensive to pay for out of pocket. If you provide people with the access to primary care, medical problems can get treated while they are small and easily manageable, before they are serious enough to require a trip to the hospital. When the government provides access to basic healthcare for people without health insurance, this CUTS costs because you end up with less costly hospital visits! Your claim that government involvement raises the costs of healthcare is completely misinformed—in countries with more government involvement (ie many European countries, Japan, Taiwan, etc.) in healthcare, costs are LESS per capita that what we spend in the US (and with better health outcomes and indicators, I’d add). How dare Bob compare his “nightmare” with the experience of people who have cancer and can’t get treatment even though they work two jobs, or someone with a pre-existing condition who can’t get health insurance. This kind of indignance over paying taxes is ridiculously petty and out of touch with the reality of many people in this country. Spoken like someone who doesn’t actually have any “nightmares.“
I live a Health care nightmare every day !
The Government gives anyone who shows up at a Hospital health care for free and i pay higher and higher taxes !
Sheldon Whitehouse is doing nothing but contributing to the country going Broke !
The only thing that would change is i would Pay even More Taxes for health care i already have and many businesses will stop offering health care why should they the Government will pay for it !
I want a Government that will stop trying to rob every penny it can from me and do what they were originally suppose to do defend the country and police and fire health care increased in price because the government got involved ! the Government is not the cure they are the disease !
