Ahhh so President Obama got the award for what he might do, and for the fact that no one has thrown a shoe at him!!  *I shoulda had a V8!“  Thanks for the enlightenment, kenneth.

President Obama has done nothing to earn the award unless you believe increasing our debt to the world a good thing. He has rushed through a huge spending package that was supposed to save our economy and create jobs but I dont see that happening. he’s trying to push through a health plan that will cost us trillions. He’s taken over a great deal of the private sector leaning toward socialism. I guess these are things that would warrent an award from a socialized country. We’ve got to stop this and soon. I only hope the people realise what this guy and his cohorts are doing to this great country. How is that hope and change working for you??

Yes Kennethnk,

Good point….A reporter throwing a shoe at the leader of the free world.
Yes that was funny…...any “real” American would think that was funny after all the young lives we have sacraficed in exchange for there freedom. How can you say that? Oh you don’t care about life or liberty unless a Democrat is President.

I see you don’t respect the office of President just whether or not he can make you calm.

Thank you for making my point, one post below.

he has done nothing.look at unemployment for one. the only thing a person can say he’s done is waste our tax dollars and spew more hot air around the world.

I think Obama was a good choice because his ideals and his peacefull natured character .
His diplomatic style and controlled temper seems to give a calming effect of those who come in contact with him.
And from what I have read they gave him the award because of what he is capable of doing and his knack of reaching out even to the people who hate our country and trying to peacefully negotiate with them.
I guess I havn’t seen anyone from another country throw a shoe at him yet
so I guess he is doing better in that department then Bush was LOL was that funny or what.
God Bless President Obama
God Bless America

One other thing, I’m 18 I can vote.
You better know I’m behind our president. But even more than the President I’m behind America.
Mr. Obama hasn’t done anything for us yet.

You who are talking about respect for our president seem to have no respect for president Bush…. he was president also. So are you talking about the office or the man? Is Mr. Obama just your political flavor? I have respect for the office I’ll wait and hope that I can respect the man as president of the United States.

Good point LOVINLIFE,
Respect…
I love history. The way this country was founded to me is one of the greatest stories ever. The King of England made our lives intolerable with taxation and we were subjects to a dictator who had no sense of the colonies and their toil and hard work to carve a life out of this new world.

Then the revolution. I’m sure many loyalists to the crown talked about respect also. A new Government was formed by the people……ready for this …FOR THE PEOPLE.Our elected officials left their farms and businesses regretfully to serve a greater good. Each in congress tried to serve there communities in the time they could spare away from their lively hood. No career politicians.

The next 300 years did not come easy. War between the states, and abroad to protect our freedom and sovereignty.
Political wars for the ideals we believed in for fear the world could in the future could come back to harm us.

Then came political intervention, America propping up one country with arms for there ideals were similar to ours. In turn these arms used against another country that we felt wasn’t in our interest.

This has spawned the terrorists of today.

Now were here in the 21st century. Money and television run our elections. Career politicians who first best interest is being re- elected. Sympathetic to anyone’s ideals who can fund their campaign.

Bright shinning speech’s (lies) while the camera and makeup can make them look like movie stars. We are fighting two wars While our financial foundation is stripped out from under us, by the partisan fighting and incompetence in congress. Mr. Obama, was directly involved in protecting the institutions from regulation that caused the collapse.

I wish and hope the best for our President. I will continue to question our politicians. I will not be a blind patriot. I will wait for the truth not believe political promises. I believe this is being the best American I can be. To uphold the ideals of our forefathers ( rolling in there graves)and everyone who gave there life for this dismal excuse of a congress of career politicians we have today.

I’m 18.…THERE IS MY RESPECT!

Rick, I am with you, Brother. It is not the action, it is the intent, and the demeanor. Did GWB deserve to be President? Just to extend the olive branch and try to get some very volatile participants to the table is hard work in negotiations enough. Peace is a state of mind before it is an action…Let’s hope he can lead some of our less than friendly neighbors to that table. Support OUR President, and Our Nation, be Proud our President is so Honored. I am.

@rick

Honestly, what has he done in his NINE months of being in office that deserves a Nobel Peace Prize?  I like Obama so far, but I really don’t think that he has DONE anything to deserve it.  I’m not hating my country, I’m confused as to what the reason was for him winning the prize.

I don’t think he deserves it.  I think that they should at least wait until the end of his term before they decide if he is deserving of something as big as a Nobel Peace Prize.
