School bus drivers at the age of 70 have to past at test twice a year. Why not give a test to regular drives once a year when they reach 70.

I live in Woonsocket, and there are many elderly complexes here. But I definately would start testing at the age of 75. Some of these people fall asleep at the stop sign and some can`t even reach over the dash board or reach the peddles properly. But you can`t say that about them all. but there are the majority, with all due respect. Thankyou….Dianeseq

lrb you want safer roads? Make cell phones illegal on the roads. It’s out of control at least one out of 3 drivers has a phone attached to their ear.  People should try being courteous to each other and leave the house a few minutes earlier to get to where there going.

It is already impossible to get employee’s at the registry to wait on more than one person without going to lunch or on break and you think you are going to be able to get them to give simulator tests to everyone?  Good luck with that.

Seniors should be treated like teenage drivers. Once you turn 65 you can only drive during certain hours of the day and if you need to drive after dark then you must have someone under the age of 65 accompany you.

Retest every year after they become a senior (65)!  If you pass….well then heck you get to keep your license!  If you don’t….....C-yaaaaaaa

lbr….I can see you are a few cards short of a full deck. Standing in line with all the illegal aliens takes way too long already. And now you want a half hour simulator. your nuts. Do not forget the six different languages everyone will get to retest in when they fail, so there is three hours. New driver do semiannually their fist year. You can only have one fist year. So how exactly would that be semiannually?

Not only for those above a defined age.  EVERY driver should be required to take a 1/2 hour driving simulator test including reaction testing “in extremis” every 5 years.  This would also teach accident avoidence.  New drivers should be required to do at least one hour semiannually for the first year.  those who show problems should be allowed to take a 1 hour simulator refresher and is passed the be licensed.
