Providence senior centers to get stimulus money

PROVIDENCE—Providence Mayor David Cicilline has announced that seven senior centers in the city will split more than $220,000 in federal stimulus money.

Cicilline said Wednesday the Community Development Block Grant money will be used to keep jobs and make sure seniors continue to have access to food, clothing and transportation assistance.

The senior centers were affected by budget cuts.
