WEST WARWICK, R.I.—West Warwick police are looking for the driver of a car that was involved in a hit and run accident, leaving one man seriously injured.
Glen Reid was struck by a small, dark car on June 5 on Main Street.
He suffered two broken bones in his leg, a broken arm and a fractured shoulder.
An eyewitness told Reid after the accident that when he was hit by the car, Reid flipped in the air and landed on the road.
“Well, you know, you hit an animal and the first thing you do is pull over—that’s an animal. I’m a human being, I don’t know how he feels about what he’s done, maybe he was drinking ... pretty low form of a human being,“ Reid said.
Reid installs degreasing machines, but with his injuries, he said he’ll be out of work for at least four months.
If you have any information about the incident, please call West Warwick at (401) 827-9006.
