Police nab 3 in bank robbery

CRANSTON, R.I.—Three people were arrested in connection with a bank robbery in Cranston, police said Wednesday.

Police said the robbery happened at the Bank of America branch in Garden City at about 2 p.m.

Police said a man walked into the bank with a black briefcase, said he had a weapon and demanded money.

Police said the man never showed a weapon. Police said the man put an undisclosed amount of money in the briefcase and left the bank on foot.

Police said detectives arrested three people about two hours later.

No one was injured in the robbery.
