NASHUA, N.H. - A high-rolling bookkeeper from Rhode Island is charged with stealing more than $300,000 from a New Hampshire fast food company.

Police allege that Mary Seeto, 46, of Warwick, cashed at least 200 fraudulent checks totaling more than $300,000 from Northern Arch Management, LLC, where she was a part-time bookkeeper from November 2007 until this month.

The company runs area McDonald’s restaurant franchises.

Police Lt. George McCarthy says Seeto has gambled more than $1 million at Foxwoods and Mohegan Suns Casinos in Connecticut since 1992. He says she also was a bookkeeper for several other companies around New England, and police are continuing to investigate.

Seeto is being held on $200,000 bail pending arraignment in Nashua.
