Police ID man killed in single-car crash

CHARLESTOWN, R.I. - Charlestown police have identified the man killed in an early morning car crash.
Lt. Patrick McMahon said 20-year-old Chad Mancuso of Wakefield was found dead after his car went about 100 feet down an embankment and hit a tree head-on. He was the only person in the 1998
Volkswagen Jetta.
Police received a phone call at about 6 a.m. Friday that the car that had gone off the road.
McMahon said speed is believed to be a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation.
