Passenger dies from injuries in motorcycle crash

One of two people seriously hurt in a motorcycle crash in Tiverton has died.
The crash happened Saturday night on the Route 24 ramp to Main Road.
Police said Janet Vaillancourt, of Tiverton, died of her injuries. She was a passenger.
The driver, Joseph Beirola, also of Tiverton, remained at Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.
Police said both were thrown from the bike when the driver lost control.
