Man hurt in North Kingstown crash

NORTH KINGSTOWN—A driver was seriously injured in a single car accident late Friday night.

North Kingstown police told NBC10 News the car went off Route 2 into the woods, and caught fire around 11:15 p.m.

The driver was trapped in the burning vehicle and had to be extricated.

He was brought to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver was the only occupant in the car.

North Kingstown police spent part of Saturday doing reconstruction work at the accident scene.
