NORTH PROVIDENCE - Children under 18 are prohibited from visiting patients at Fatima Hospital in North Providence as a precautionary measure against spreading swine flu.

The hospital also announced Wednesday that people with flu-like symptoms, such as a fever or dry cough, may not visit patients.

The actions are similar to the ones taken by other hospitals in Rhode Island and elsewhere in the country.

Two girls who have tested positive for swine flu have died in as many weeks in Rhode Island.
