PAWTUCKET, R.I.—A Warwick man has been charged with robbing a Dunkin’ Donuts in Pawtucket by driving a motorcycle up to the drive-through window.
Jeffrey Ware was ordered held without bail Wednesday during an appearance in district court when he was charged with first-degree robbery and assault with intent to rob.
Police said Ware, 45, at first tried to rob a McDonald’s by driving his motorcycle to the drive-through window just after midnight Saturday morning. But the clerk closed the window and walked away.
Police said Ware then went to a nearby Dunkin’ Donuts drive-through window, where he claimed he had a gun and demanded cash. He got away with $48.
Police said while no gun was shown, he held his hand under his shirt to make it look like a weapon.

All that for $48, what a ree ree. Should have just sold his motorcycle. I would have given him $75 for it and saved him all this trouble.
And I bet he wasn’t wearing a helmet. Right?
