More RI residents collecting jobless benefits

CRANSTON, R.I. - The number of people in Rhode Island collecting and exhausting unemployment benefits continues to rise.
Officials with the state Department of Labor and Training said as of Aug. 5, about 34,500 Rhode Islanders were collecting some type of unemployment benefit.
Assistant Director Raymond Filippone told The Providence Journal that is up from about 34,200 on July 29 and about 33,960 on July 22.
More than 1,500 Rhode Islanders have exhausted jobless benefits this year. By November, another 3,300 unemployed residents will have run out of benefits.
Rhode Island’s unemployment rate was 12.4 percent in June. The July rate is expected to be announced later this month.

You would have too wonder why the state of RI is letting SENESCO MARINE of Quonset Point hire out of state worker’s as well as undocumented worker’s and not train and help RI worker’s and don not forget alll the Jamestown resedents who have there yard’s,grass and other chore’s done by the undocumented
