why was he walking around with a knife?
Amanda don’t you ever lump me in with the Italians again….ever hear of the Moors…just ask any Italian. They invaded Sicily a long time ago. Look them up and do a little research you may be closer to the people in your neighborhood than you think.
Sorry, but no matter what the circumstances, the man committed a crime. As Mysteria said, two wrongs don’t make a right. If that stabbing was to be ignored because the other man was threatening him with a gun it would set a dangerous precedent.
No doubt that when it comes to trial the circumstances will be considered, but inflicting bodily harm with a deadly weapon is still as much of a crime as threatening bodily harm with a deadly weapon is—even more so.
I don’t understand??? Why should your son NOT be charged for stabbing someone?? He committed a punishable crime and he should know better than to carry weapons if his sister was a victim. Two wrongs won’t make it right and it was not okay for your son to stab someone, neither was it okay for someone to hold a gun to his head. That person is just as wrong. We all complain about the violence and as long as ones mentality is to get back at a person with as much violence or more will never make it go away. you can’t fight violence with violence and expect it stop. Its a never ending very sad road that no one comes back from. Sorry but your son gets no sympathy from me not matter what the circumstances are he still stabbed someone. I am sure there is more to the story than you have told. I just don’t believe someone came up to him and held a gun to his head for no reason. Don’t get me wrong I am not stating that the person who had the gun was right but we need to know the WHOLE truth. Its a sad world we live in today. Now how long will it be before someone from the family of the stabbing victim reacts with more violence because of this. people need to smarten up and stop these vicious circles. I do however feel terrible for you. To have lost a child is horrible and I am very sorry for your loss.
All of you concerned citizens continue to talk about something you know nothing about.I am a worried parent who has already lost my only daughter to violence in this miserable state. The fact is that the man who got stabbed was actually holding a gun to someones head.In fact he was not even alone he had help. How do I know this? I am the mother of the man who stabbed him!If you want to blame someone, ask the POLICE,what happened to charging or even investigating the rest of the people involved! It is like living in Russia or China, the POLICE ONLY DO HALF THEIR JOB!YOU CAN’T EVEN PROTECT YOURSELF OR WALK DOWN THE STREET SAFELY.IF A GANG OF PEOPLE ATTACK YOU,YOU ARE THE ONE WHO GETS CHARGED.Call the police and ask the to speak w/any officer involved, they tell you that they can’t tell you anything but the truth is that all of this info is a matter of public record. When you ask the police if they are investigating further you are told NO WE DON’T HAVE TO!WE ONLY NEED RESONABLE SUSPICION!WHERE WERE THE POLICE WHEN MY SON WAS IN NEED OF HELP?!!!NOT IS THAT LOW INCOME NEIGHBORHOOD!Don’t we all have the right as AMERICANS TO FEEL SAFE IN OUR OWN NEIBORHOOD!WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO PROTECT AND SERVE! HOW MANY YOUNG PEOPL DO WE NEED TO LOSE BEFORE SOMETHING IS DONE?!!!!!!
Well when the last time you heard of a stabbing at a corner in the suburbs??? There are to many people who live in the city that just don’t care ( there are in suburbs to but alot less. Minorities are in all towns & all states its how you are raised and the community you grew up in. I say this because at one time too many people were afraid to leave there homes because of the violence on their streets, and so it was just left alone. If you don’t bother them they won’t bother you was the old attitude. Now more and more are turning there neighborhoods around they are not afraid to call the cops or tell someone to leave. As the old saying goes “it takes a village to raise a child” it is also the way to turn around your community. If you see a child of a friend doing something wrong and you intervene it is for the best for that child. I know that if my son was doing wrong I would want to know about and and so it is the same with the rest of our friends and community. If you want things to change it needs to start in your own home and your own community, whether you are black white latino irish Italian ect…. Its the ignorance of these kids that think violence is the way to be. More children growing in the city are left to grow and learn on there own out in the streets of violence but with the help of others we can all try to change the way children view violence and the community they come from. Children and people in general reflect the community they live in. Stand up take charge and if you rent and you have a garbage yard, Clean it! If you own and have a garbage yard clean it. If the empty lot next to you is trashed and overgrown take some time and clean it. It will also help to keep riff raff away. We need to stop being such a lazy country and make our surroundings nicer it attracts nicer crowds and communities. If someone spoils it clean it again eventually they will move on to somewhere else. One day at a time we can change the way the cities are viewed and displace the violence that survives in cities. That is why at the beginning I said there is a lot less violence in the suburbs. The surroundings make it that way. A thug doesn’t like bright clean atmospheres. They are dark dreary creatures and that is what they thrive on. Once you destroy there habitat they move on To other places. IT TAKES A VILLAGE!!!
ok freak1, seriously, its people like you who makes america look so dumb to other countries. being diverse is what seperates america from everyone else. i am 85% italian and so was the kid who got stabbed and the one who stabbed him. so stop talking bad about others when its your own kind who was doing the stabbing.
hey idiot, that was my cousin, and the kid who stabbed him, was a white boy.
I never called you an idiot or personally attacked you. You’re mean I’m glad you’re not my neighbor. I might end up like that poor Cranston Firefighter.
That was definitely uncalled for.
I’m sure your yard is lovely.
OMG, Freak1, u r an idiot!! Didn’t you read that I said it’s not ENTIRELY the fault of the minorities living there? Sure we should do more to keep our neighborhoods clean. I’ve seen some bad neighborhoods in the suburbs too!! There’s fault to go around on ALL sides!!
