An ALDI supermarket in Warwick was robbed Wednesday, police said.
It happened at about 5:20 p.m. at the ALDI store at 444 Quaker Lane.
Police said a man handed a note to a worker saying that he had a weapon and to give him money. The worker complied, and the man left with about $920.
Police said the worker described the robber as a white man about 6 feet 2 inches tall with a mustache. He was wearing blue jeans and a navy blue rain hoodie.
Reader Reactions
Not only is that statement rude and stereotypical, but also completely untrue.
Everyone pays with food stamps at that store. Should have hit a Stop & Shop probably coulda got double! Then again I guess getting a job would not hurt either.
