Man may have been stricken before crash

A crash in Charlestown may have been precipitated by a medical problem.
Police said a man’s vehicle went off the road and struck a tree Saturday night on Carolina Back Road.
The man died. His name has not been released.
The Westerly Sun reported that a preliminary investigation indicated the driver may have suffered a heart attack or seizure just before the crash.
