Man killed in crash

A Rehoboth man was killed Thursday afternoon in a car crash in Smithfield.

Police said the 67-year-old man lost control of his pickup truck and hit a guardrail on Putnam Pike.  He was towing a trailer.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not immediately released.
