Man charged in Lincoln stabbing

LINCOLN, R.I.—A Woonsocket man accused of stabbing another man following a fight is being held on $25,000 bail with surety.
Jacob McKenna, 19, of Woonsocket, was arraigned on Wednesday. He was charged with assault with intent to commit murder.
Police responded to a report of a stabbing at about 9:50 p.m. on Tuesday night on Pothier Street.
When officers arrived, they found a 28-year-old Lincoln man stabbed in the back.
Police said the victim was able to make his way from the scene to a friend’s house to call for help. He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital. His condition is unknown.
Police later arrested McKenna at his home.
