Man beaten to death in Taunton

A Florida man was beaten to death in Taunton, Bristol County prosecutors said Wednesday.
The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office said Chad Fleming, 31, of Deerfield Beach was beaten to death sometime Tuesday night near 584 Bay St.
Taunton police said staff at Morton Hospital called them at about 11:15 p.m. to report a dead man had been driven to the hospital.
The district attorney said no arrests have been made in the killing.
Nelson Melo, 22, of 584 Bay St., was charged with witness intimidation. He is awaiting arraignment in Taunton District Court.
