SMITHFIELD, R.I.—A 1-and-a-half-year-old puppy is looking for a good home.
He’s a terrier mix that goes by the name Chance. He showed up at the door of a Smithfield business in December.
Officers responded and said the puppy was malnourished and that it had suffered injuries consistent with being hit by a car.
Chance was nursed back to health and is ready for adoption.
The Smithfield animal shelter is located at 3 Spragueville Road. It’s open seven days a week: Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
