Judge clears student punished for good deed

ATTLEBORO, Mass.—A college student from Attleboro who turned over a pocketbook he found to police, then was accused of stealing $1,000 from it, has been cleared of a larceny charge.
The arrest put 20-year-old Endri Cenolli’s career plans at risk. The criminal justice major at Curry College wants to go into law enforcement.
Those plans are on track after a judge found him not guilty on Wednesday. Cenolli told The Sun Chronicle of Attleboro he was elated with the decision.
The pocketbook, containing more than $1,000, credit cards and foreign currency, was stolen in December 2007 from a van in a parking lot. The thief apparently took the money and dumped the pocketbook in Cenolli’s building.
Cenolli was arrested when he turned it over because police thought he was acting suspiciously.

Today, with the butt-backwards way some policemen/departments have of making accusations, situations like this aren’t the exception—they’re the rule.
A fine example of “Guilty Until Proven Innocent”....how about an apology..this charge will never be completely erased….good luck kid.
