I-195 ramp given OK after accident

» 2 Comments | Post a Comment

The Massachusetts Highway Department is reporting that a ramp over Interstate195 in Fall River did not suffer any structural damage when it was struck by a dump truck last Thursday.

The impact of the crash split the cab from the rest of the truck and tied up traffic in the eastbound lanes for hours.
A consultant, who checked the ramp, reported the ramp and the beams are both structurally sound.
That truck driver involved in the crash was treated and released from Rhode Island Hospital.

That driver can thank God he is OK—an accident like that could have killed him!  Just goes to show that even professional drivers can get unlucky.
