I agree with smitty, I mean seriously, pretty soon everything is going to be overseas and this country will go to he11. The people who are in charge of it don’t understand that what they think saves money will doom them in the long run. Anyway, wtf do I want to talk to someone in some other country who I can barely understand about a problem I am having in THIS country? Wth are they gonna do?

For a lot of companies today the problem isn’t getting an agent on the line so much as it is getting an agent on the line IN THIS COUNTRY.  All too many of them have outsourced their help lines to overseas countries.  Those people are all too often people who really can’t help you—and neither can their supervisors, if they even have one there.

Too many companies look only at that bottom line—ignoring the people who grow that bottom line in the process.

How about getting some one that speaks English or at least speak enough that I can understand him/her.

VERIZON:
at the voice prompts try saying “operator” or “agent” instead of choosing from their menu.
