Hearing delayed for Mass. woman found with baby

CONCORD, N.H.—An extradition hearing for a Massachusetts woman accused of kidnapping a baby who had been cut from the mother’s womb has been rescheduled for later this month.
Julie Corey had the baby with her when she was arrested July 29 at a homeless shelter in New Hampshire and was held on $2 million bail.
She was due in Concord District Court Friday on a fugitive from justice charge, but the hearing has been postponed for a second time until Sept. 21. A judge earlier had delayed the hearing to give Massachusetts more time to prepare paperwork requesting that Corey be returned there.
Corey faces a kidnapping charge in Massachusetts.
DNA tests have confirmed that the baby was cut from Darlene Haynes, who was found dead in her Worcester home July 27.
