I would like to vaccinate my kids but they are not in the eligible age requirement or don’t attend school. My son is 18, goes to a special program at a local college but does not have chronic health issues. My daughter is 5 1/2 but goes to kindergarten at a daycare facility and they will not be administering vaccines. So the only choice is their doctor’s office, but the seasonal flu vaccine must be given first and the doctor’s office won’t have anymore vaccines until December. My son has a doctor’s appointment in late November, and my daughter has one in early January. They probably won’t be eligible to get vaccines at their doctor’s either. It makes me sick when I read about people who don’t even qualify to get a flu shot among this first dose, sneak in line and “cheat” and get a vaccination. I’m sure they sleep well at night knowing they are protected while some little child isn’t.
