A woman jumps from a second-story window to escape a fire.

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I.—A 29-year-old woman was hurt Wednesday when she jumped from the second floor a burning house in East Providence.
Three children, a 19-year-old woman, and a firefighter were also injured in the fire that broke out at about 2 p.m. at 2 Lyon Ave.
The woman who jumped was treated for a dislocated ankle. The children and the teen were taken to a hospital for treatment of possible smoke inhalation. A firefighter hurt his neck.
Investigators said they think the fire broke out in the back of the first floor. The cause was not immediately known.
