BARNSTABLE, Mass. - Police have arrested a Falmouth man and charged him with a series of sexual assaults on two young male acquaintances.
Barnstable Detective Sgt. John Murphy says the alleged victims came forward in January and claimed that 44-year-old Kevin Linnell assaulted them between 1993 and 2003 in Barnstable and in Sandwich.
Murphy tells the Cape Cod Times the first alleged assault occurred when the oldest boy was 11 years old and continued for a number of years.
The other man reported being sexually assaulted when he was 17. Police say the alleged victims are related, and Linnell was reportedly a friend of their family.
Linnell is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday in Barnstable District Court on multiple charges including child rape.
