DLT hiring 17 for career centers

Rhode Island’s Department of Labor and Training is hiring.

The DLT is looking for 17 new workers for roles at the five public netWORKri career centers. They will help unemployed workers find jobs.

The Providence Journal reported that the temporary positions will be funded by federal stimulus money.

The state’s unemployment rate stands at 12.1 percent.

This is all well and fine, however;
17 more people to help Rhode Islander’s
find jobs that ARE NOT THERE TO FIND IN
THE FIRST PLACE?!

How about using the stimulus money to
CREATE PERMANENT FULL TIME JOBS (WITH BENEFITS) FIRST, THEN hire 17 DLT employees (temporarily) to help the
unemployed find jobs?? NAHHHHH!
That makes TOO MUCH SENSE…...
