ENFIELD, Conn.—A Connecticut woman who police say went on a three-state crime spree last month has been charged with two more bank robberies.

Thirty-four-year-old Heather Brown is to be arraigned in Enfield Superior Court on Wednesday on charges she robbed a bank in Windsor. She was also charged Tuesday with a bank robbery in Middletown.

Police say they believe Brown, whose last known address was in Willimantic, robbed six banks from Sept. 21 to Sept. 26.

She was charged earlier with robbing a bank in Montville, and authorities expect to charge her with other robberies in Westerly, R.I., West Springfield, Mass., and East Hartford, Conn.

A public defender for Brown says he believes Brown’s serious personal problems led to the charges, but he declined to elaborate.
