Charlestown will be overrun by Scoundrels

CHARLESTOWN, R.I. – Some Scoundrels will be in Charlestown.

Theatre By The Sea will be hosting Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, a show based on the 1988 movie, which starred Steve Martin and Michael Caine.

In the production, two con men make a bet to see who can swindle money from a young heiress first as they attempt to one-up each other throughout the story.

Jason Gillman plays the role of con man Freddy Benson, a role he also played on Broadway, while Al Bundonis plays Lawrence Jamison.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels opens on Aug. 14 at Theatre By The Sea.
